New Study – Starting September 11

Before you know it September will be here!  For some of you this will mean a new schedule, new activities, and some amount of change.  For others, things will stay pretty much the same as you have had it during your summer months.  Your vacation days may be over or still to come.  But whatever your circumstances may be, we are hoping you are planning to join us for our new fall Bible study.

You will be able to print out the new series of study guides soon.  Just look under “Current Study” to find them.  I’m looking forward to posting some introductory information for you to read as you anticipate studying the Old Testament Book of Deuteronomy with us.  While this book is a record of Moses’ final messages to the people of Israel just before they left their wilderness journey and crossed over into the Promised land, it also gives us a “visual aid to demonstrate what is happening to us in our own spiritual life”.  (Ray Stedman)

We would love for you to invite some of your friends to join us – especially those who can not attend (for many varied reasons) a Bible study group in person.

Deuteronomy – What's Your Response?

The Journey From Fear to Faith.  If I were to write another study based on the Book of Deuteronomy, that would be the title of the series.  Moses wanted this new generation to move from living life from the perspective of the “what ifs”, the possibilities, the size of their enemies, and their false memories…Continue Reading

Fall Theme and Schedule

How healthy is your heart?  Eat right.  Exercise.  Control your stress and fatigue.  Then exercise some more.  It’s all about taking care of our physical heart because it is an organ that is basic to our survival, isn’t it? However, we have more than a “physical heart” which God wants us to guard.  There is…Continue Reading

What do you think?

It’s been a habit of mine for many years.  I like to read a very short devotional thought centered around a Scripture verse or two at the start of each day.  At present the new little book, “Jesus Calling”, is providing me with a wonderful focus as I begin the unknown adventues of my…Continue Reading
