Did you notice another name for God that came up in our lesson this week several times? He is JEHOVAH SABAOTH, LORD of Heaven’s Armies. Martin Luther used it in his famous song, “A Mighty Fortress is our God”. He said, “Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing. Were not the right man on our side, the man of God’s own choosing. Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He – Lord Sabaoth His name. From age to age the same, and He must win the battle.” This Thanksgiving week I am thankful that my God is stronger, my God is able, and He is MY GOD – Jehovah Tsidquenu. By the way, it’s quite easy to say – tsid-KAY-nu.
