Did you ever sing this little song when you were a child? “Oh, be careful little hands what you do? Be careful little feet where you go? Be careful little mouth what you say? For the Father up above is looking down in love, so be careful little . . .” It has a catchy little tune that can circle around in your mind repeatedly once it starts. For me, it echoes the ideas that are repeated in the proverbs. Because God loves me, He knows what is best for me. Because God loves me, I can trust Him with my future – the uncertainties and the unexpected are not surprises to Him. Because God loves me, I will have the strength to love others, to have a cheerful heart (and face), and to do good. Thank you, God, for looking down on me in love.
