One of the great desires of my heart is that my children and grandchildren will choose to follow the Lord throughout all the days of their lives. So when I find instruction and promises in Scripture that I need to follow and to believe, I draw 2 little stick figures beside that verse. Today as I read the verses in Proverbs, I saw one of those little pictures and it was just what I needed to know. God will not only be my fortress as I stand in awe of Him (fear Him), but my faith will also provide shelter for those who come after me. Lord, may I be aware of your greatness and your goodness and your mercy today and as I live in the awareness of your presence may my family also be drawn to an unshakable faith in You.
