The reassurance that Jesus gave to His disciples is exactly what I needed this week. Because He is The Way, I came trust Him totally with my future and put my family into His care, as well. Because He is the The Truth, I can count on His promises. Because He is The Life, it…… Continue Reading

Lesson #9 – Intro – March 1 – March 8 I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life
If the chance of a reunion is not likely and the future is totally unknown, it can be heart wrenching and traumatic to say goodbye to a dear friend. Jesus was completely aware and sensitive to the questions and concerns of His disciples that final night as they celebrated the Passover Feast together. He…… Continue Reading
Sharing an Insight – Lesson 8
There is a direct correlation between a really wonderful teacher and his or her ability to hear and respond to sincere questions with empathy, clarity and wisdom. Jesus always did just that, didn’t He? That is very reassuring to me because there are seasons in my life when I have plenty of questions and…… Continue Reading
Lesson #8 – Intro – Feb. 22 – March 1 I AM Teacher and Lord
There are often very tender moments at the bedside of someone who is nearing the last hours of life. Sometimes it is the recollection of memories or the opportunity to forgive and find peace and reconciliation that make that time so memorable. At other times it is simply the silence or the expression of…… Continue Reading
Sharing an Insight – Lesson 7
Death to life. It’s simply what Jesus does. He takes the old and makes it new. He takes the forgotten and gives them hope. He takes the regrets of the past and redeems them. He makes the sin stained heart white as snow. He enables the weak to become strong. He offers peace and comfort…… Continue Reading

Lesson #6 – Introduction – Feb. 8 – 15 I AM the Son of God
Throughout the centuries there have been two foundational doctrines of the Christian faith that have received more criticism and attacks than any other tenets. What do you think that they might be? You would be correct if you said that they are the Deity of Christ and The Trinity. When Jesus was here on earth,…… Continue Reading
Would you share an insight? – Lesson 5 – I AM the Good Shepherd
It seems to me that Jesus knew how much His disciples and friends (then and now) would need to grasp this idea of His identity as a good shepherd. They needed to feel His love and comfort, to experience His protection and care, and to be confident in their relationship to Him. They needed…… Continue Reading
Lesson # 5 – Introduction – Feb. 1 – 8 I AM the Good Shepherd
You may not know exactly what a sheepfold is, but you can be sure that everyone who was listening to Jesus when He talked about what it meant to be a shepherd could understand His illustration completely. They could picture the walled enclosure, the high fence made with stakes, or even the cave where…… Continue Reading
