“May God Bless You” – An Insight for Lesson 6

Don’t you love it when someone sincerely uses that phrase on your behalf? When a friend asks God to show you His divine favor and mercy? When a family member intercedes for you using one of the many blessings that are found in Scripture before you begin a new challenge or face a major obstacle? It helps to know that others are praying for you, but when they take time to actually speak a blessing, invoking God to keep specific promises, the encouragement increases significantly. When a friend actually writes to you words like, “May the God of hope, fill you completely with His joy and with His peace, today. As you trust in Him, may you find that His Spirit enables you to face the news that you will hear today, knowing that He loves you and will sustain you.”(Romans 15:13) Lord, help me to look for opportunities to bless my children, grandchildren and others with specific Biblical words of encouragement.
