What is it that makes some children and grandchildren want to follow in the footsteps of their parents or their grandparents when it comes to trusting God and following Jesus? What makes some of them turn away? Of course, there are a myriad of answers to these questions, but I love the promise in Psalm 37 that God will bless my family as I continue to stop fretting and trust, to delight myself in my God, to refrain from anger, to be generous and to wait for the Lord. I ask, Lord Jesus, that may I make it easy and desirable for those I love so much to seek You and Your ways all of their days. Holy Spirit, come and meet with them on their journey towards You.
