Sharing An Insight – Lesson 1 – John 13 and 14

To hear the words, “I love you”, clearly expressed can mean so much in a relationship.  But, there is nothing that validates those words as truth more than an act of selfless service that is freely given without expectation of a return favor or compensation in any way. After Jesus washed His disciples feet, He told them this very thing, didn’t He?  He told them that their love for Him would be made real as they loved other people – each other, the sick, the poor, the unlovable – even those who made life really difficult.  In fact, He said, “Remember the ways that I have loved you, and demonstrate your love for others in those same ways.”  (The Voice – John 13:34)  I do love You, Lord Jesus.  So help me today to demonstrate that reality by giving Your love to someone, whether it is convenient and easy or not.  Really?  Yes, really.
