Did you know that there is a test for rating your level of “understanding and wisdom”? It doesn’t come from how well you score on a written exam or how much knowledge you have acquired. It does not even reflect age or experience necessarily. Here it is – “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him/her show it by his/her good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere” – James 3: 13 and 17. What a great way for me to process whether or not the truths in Proverbs are impacting the way I think and act. It’s You, Jesus, as I walk with You today, that will help me to understand Your ways, bringing Your kingdom to the place where I live and the places where I go.
