One of my favorite places to walk is along West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz. It really doesn’t matter whether it is sunny and bright or on the foggy and windy side of things, does it? It’s simply a beautiful place to be reminded of the majesty and creativity of God. This week, however, I have been thinking a great deal more about God as MY Rock. He doesn’t shift like the sand or change with the wind. He is stable and reliable. The possibility or reality of earthquakes doesn’t bother him. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Help me, Lord, when the fog of other people’s opinions or the storms of life cloud my vision, to stay anchored to You and to Your Word, My solid ROCK.
