Sharing an Insight – Lesson 1

Can you say it any better than the translation found in THE MESSAGE does – Romans 8: 12 – 15.  “So, don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent?  There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all.  The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life.  God’s Spirit beckons.  There are things to do and places to go!  This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life.  It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?”

Lord, may I see the events of today with my mind set on what God’s Spirit, who lives in me, desires.

By the way, why not take a minute and share your response or insight with others?  It would help you to put it in words and it would help others to read your perspective.

One Response to Sharing an Insight – Lesson 1

  1. Whenever I’m asked, or write, why I’ve stayed true to my spiritual beliefs all my life, my reply is always the same: “I love the mystery of not knowing what God will bring next. It’s always an adventure walking with God.” Sometimes I love it, sometimes I don’t, sometimes I don’t even know until that particular path is over, but I always know another one is coming up. I cannot imagine how boring my life would/could be without my faith in action. Yuck. But…”Lord…could I have a lot less action for a while? I need downtime!”
