A thankful heart! Moses began his song with praise and thanksgiving to his God. At the end of his life, he remained focused on The One who had always been faithful and whose name was above all names. Perhaps it is a grateful heart that protects us from pride and independence which draws us away from trusting God alone.
As I move through this week of Thanksgiving, that’s the kind of heart I want to have – thankful and trusting. God knows all about my circumstances, all about my challenges and HE is my Rock. His ways are just and good and He alone is trustworthy. His words are my comfort and shield. His promises will always be true – not just for others, but for me and for my family. I WILL TRUST and NOT BE AFRAID! Help me, dear Jesus.
