It’s a really invigorating idea. In Christ we have OPTIONS. Options to choose how we will respond to people. How we will react to circumstances. How we will live our lives and who will be in charge. Outside of Christ, those options don’t exist. So today, dear Lord, help me to choose to be led by Your Spirit and not by my own intellect or emotions. Thank you that I am free to listen to Your voice and Your Word. I am not in bondage to old habits or my selfish inclinations because You have changed me on the inside. Really and truly – “So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know Him now. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God.” II Corinthians 5: 16 – 18
