Obedience brings blessings. Disobedience brings disaster. It’s so simple, isn’t it? Moses explained it so clearly to the Israelites just before his death – Deuteronomy 27 and 28. Then Joshua repeated it after the amazing victory at Ai. Jesus said it to His disciples just before He went to the cross – John 14: 15 – 27. Thank you, dear Holy Spirit, that You will remind me of those truths throughout this day, so that when I am tempted to hold that grudge, to complain, to be anxious, to become impatient, to be selfish with my time, to use harsh words, or to rationalize my impulsive desires that You can and You will make me courageous and give me strength to resist those temptations. In fact, anything less is disobedience because You desire to help me “bear Your fruit”. (Galatians 5: 22 – 26)
