Do you ever wonder what Rahab and her family were thinking and talking about during those 7 days when all of the people of Jericho knew that the Israelites were marching around the walls of their city? Was she worried and concerned that the promise of the spies might just have been idle words or was she at peace? What comfort did that scarlet cord which hung in her window give to her? Then, just as they had promised, the spies came and rescued her and her whole family. The LORD, “the supreme God of the heavens above and the earth below”, is never too early or too late. Help me, Lord Jesus, to believe that You will always keep Your promises even when my circumstances (and sometimes my friends) would tempt me to doubt. You really are aware of every detail of my life. Thank you!
