Young children are eager to please. In fact, while parents may not always feel that way, it is true that the biggest smiles come to the faces of 3 or 4 year olds when they know that their efforts have satisfied a significant adult. The truth is we all respond to praise. Hearing the words, “nice job”, “good work”, spurs us on with energy and increased effort. “Lord, I really do want to do what pleases You. Help me this day to live out what You so clearly have said in Your Word.”
