I love the word “gentle.” Do you? Jesus told His disciples one day, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11: 28 – 29) Sometimes I just need to remind myself that in this world there will always be challenges and disappointments, even sickness and death, but in the middle of it all, Jesus has promised to be MY gentle shepherd and loving Savior. So, today, I am willing to let Him give me His rest and strength and joy! How about you?
