Isn’t it interesting that the phrase “those whose hope is in the Lord’s unfailing love,” is parallel with “those who fear Him”? (Psalm 33) Perhaps the greatest external evidence that someone really is a God-fearing person is their ability to remain hopeful in spite of their circumstances. They remain convinced that “God’s eyes are on them” and that He will care for them, even when it seems impossible. So today, I sing with you, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace. When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.” Thank you, my Savior and Lord. I stand amazed and become hopeful because of You and You alone.
