Sharing An Insight – Lesson 7

When we call a young child “strong willed”, it is not necessarily a complimentary description, is it?  They are usually quite independent, determined, and focused on the things that they want.  Following the wisdom of their parents or considering the welfare of others is not easy for them.  The problem lies in the fact that all of us, even you and me, are far more “strong willed” than we even realize when it comes to doing God’s will.  We have our dreams and hopes, our egos and agendas which may or may not be fully aligned with what God desires for us.  So today, dear Jesus, help me to consciously and eagerly submit to Your will as You give me the strength.  May my life make it easier for others to know You and to follow Your will for their lives.  Amen.
