IT'S WORTH READING . . .

When you hear the phrase “I will pray for you”, what do you assume that person means by it?  Will they say a onetime prayer at the moment, throughout that day, or will they remember to lift up your request to the Lord in the coming days?  Perhaps an even more important question to ask is what do YOU mean when you make that promise to someone else?  How does that commitment work for you?  Or do you simply avoid giving that kind of support to a friend?

Why not buy yourself a book that will give you some very helpful and practical ideas about prayer?  It is called A Praying Life by Paul Miller.  Actually, I would highly recommend it, just as my friend, Suzanne, did for me.  That’s what friends do for each other – at Christmas and throughout the whole year!
