Death to life. It’s simply what Jesus does. He takes the old and makes it new. He takes the forgotten and gives them hope. He takes the regrets of the past and redeems them. He makes the sin stained heart white as snow. He enables the weak to become strong. He offers peace and comfort to those weighted down with sorrow. He gives rest to those who bear heavy burdens. He offers the gift of life to those who will yield up their own stubborn wills. So, today, dear Lord, I am grateful to know that You understand my needs and You offer me the gift of Your life-giving presence and your resurrection power. That’s why I will live expectantly with peace and contentment as I wait for the outcome to my questions and my prayers. I’m thankful to You!
