Jesus said it. “I AM the Bread of Life” – I AM the one who can provide nourishment for your soul and spirit and give you life with a purpose and meaning. It’s a daily requirement for life and growth, isn’t it? Too often I am willing to satisfy my physical hunger with snacks and treats that, while temporarily are enjoyable, they do not provide a diet for optimal health. It’s true in my spiritual life, too. So thank you, Lord, for this reminder that You want me to come directly to Your Word and You will feed me. You want me to come directly into Your presence in prayer, expressing my dependence on Your mercy and grace and my gratefulness for Your indwelling and powerful Spirit and then I will be nourished and satisfied.
