Trying harder never works for long, does it? But thankfully, trusting God does. As James pointed out so clearly in his letter, “if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way”. Thank You, Jesus, that as you change me on the inside, the Holy Spirit will enable me to speak out of a heart of love and grace and wisdom and to keep silent when that is best. “May the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing to You, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer” – Psalm 19:14.
