Success! God actually wanted Joshua and the Israelites to be successful. He wanted them to move into that land that He had promised to Abraham so long ago. He wanted them to experience victory over the enemies that they would face. He wanted them to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He would perform miracles and provide for them in unexpected and amazing ways. He wanted them to be successful so that His name would be glorified among all the peoples of the earth. He simply asked that they be totally committed to following His directions and trusting in His abilities rather than their own strategies and ideas. It’s exactly what He wants for you and me. He wants us to be successful! “Thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. So, my dear brothers and sister, be strong (courageous) and immovable, always working enthusiastically for the Lord” – I Corinthians 15: 57 – 58 Thank you, dear Lord Jesus, that today You will be my strength and make me courageous enough to do everything that you ask me to do.
