In the last 24 hours we have talked to a good friend about her newly diagnosed cancer and received an e-mail from other friends whose 24 year old daughter was killed in a car crash just yesterday. Life is often hard and full of unexpected events. Add to those personal stories of grief and loss, the chaos of our national election, the worries of local crime, the unknown of the financial world, and anyone of us could start to walk down a path of anxiety, confusion or even despair. Isn’t it great that we don’t have to put our trust in political leaders, our savings accounts or our insurance policies? We have an amazing God and day by day as we “make the Lord our trust”, we get to see His salvation and to glorify His name with the new songs that He puts in our hearts. “You, alone, God, are my help and my deliverer.” Help me to speak about Your faithfulness and love wherever I may go.
