How healthy is your heart? Eat right. Exercise. Control your stress and fatigue. Then exercise some more. It’s all about taking care of our physical heart because it is an organ that is basic to our survival, isn’t it?
However, we have more than a “physical heart” which God wants us to guard. There is an “inward place that only God sees. It is that place from which our deepest thoughts, feelings and decisions come.” (C. Swindoll) In Proverbs 4: 23 we are given some wise instructions – “Above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life”.
This fall we will be studying the Book of Deuteronomy together. Moses it made it clear to the Israelites that their success or their failure would be directly related to the condition of their heart. Jesus continued to declare those same ideas as He prepared His followers for His death and resurrection. This study will help you and me to understand more clearly what it means to “love the Lord with all your heart” and to trust His promises for today and tomorrow in new and important ways.
The new study – ” With All Your Heart” will begin on Friday, September 16 and will continue until December 2. It is an eleven week study.
Sign up to get the introductions sent directly to your e-mail address so that you will not miss one of them. The study guides will be available on the “current study” page at the end of August, so that you will be able to print out the whole series for your convenience.
Please welcome my friend, Judy C, who will soon subscribe for the Fall class. She lives in Texas.
That is great. The wonderful thing about this web-study is that there is unlimited room for new friends. I’ve loved getting started this summer and am looking forward to the fall study.
Marilyn, I just had another friend from Texas who would like to join in. Her name is Sandy Aitken. Please make her welcome.
How do you sign up for the Fall study? Where is the link at the website to sign up? Thanks!
No need to sign up. Just start doing the study with us.
I’ll be posting the intros each week to the lessons.
